We’ve received so many questions about our site move to JCink! Of course, it was after a long time thinking over it that we decided the site move was right, so what exactly are the reasons for the move? Well, firstly, we believe JCink is more user-friendly. There are also more options for the admins- we feel like we have more control over what happens. We know that there may be a few hiccups in the first few weeks with setting up accounts and such, but we hope the move will positively impact on the RP!
Can I use the same characters?
Yes! You can carry on exactly where you left off.
What about my post count, or money my character had?
Your post count will be transferred onto your JCink account within 24 hours of you signing up. As for money, we’re unsure if we’re going to continue with the monetary system as of yet.
Is it still one account per character?
Yes. In JCink, it may seem a little complicated to have all your accounts connected so that it is easy to switch, however, it is not! Once you have your first account signed up, you can log out. To create a sub-account, sign up a new account as you did the first one (you can use the same email) for another character. Then, once you have successfully signed up, log back into your other account and go into “my controls”. There, you should find an option called “edit sub-accounts”- here, you need to type the username and password for your other character’s account and click “link this account”. Then, you will be able to quickly switch between accounts without having to enter your password.
What about old threads?
Our old site will remain up for viewing, so you can create new threads (i.e. your character’s apartment) and link to the old thread so that there is less confusion for as to what has happened previously.
Where do I go for any help I may need (in the move)?
You can ask in the JCink site's cbox, or PM Kae (Admin) on Proboards or JCink.
