Li Cheung Santa Monica Beach, 7pm. --- Ella stood on the sand, her floral Vans sinking into the little granules as she bounced back and forth slightly. It was the time she and Cheung had agreed to meet, and so far she hadn't seen any trace of him. Where was he? Was he even coming? Surely Cheung wouldn't leave her hanging. He wasn't that sort of boy, she was sure.

Cheung walked down the promenade, his eyes scanning over the beach until they met Ella. He smiled slightly, quickening his pace until he was stood right in front of her.
"Long time, no see." He said, looking down into the sand. He had thought he'd never see Ella again.

Ella bit her lip when she saw Cheung and nodded. It had been such a long time, and she had missed him greatly.
"How have you been?" She asked, beginning to walk down the beach. It reminded her of what they had done so many months before, but she was okay with it. Maybe she could get it back.

Cheung started to walk with her, his hands together. The beach was so pretty at this time of day, and in just a few minutes the sun would begin to set.
"I've been fine." He said with a little nod. Cheung hadn't been able to empathise with Ella when she complained about the hardships of being a high school senior, but now he was one he knew exactly how she had felt- each day, he was 24 hours closer to graduation... And it was both exciting and utterly frightening.
"What about you?"

"Yeah, I've been good. Just... Really bored. College sucks." She said, laughing a little after she'd finished speaking.

"I kind of don't wanna graduate." He said, puffing up his cheeks.

Ella skipped slightly, trying to keep up with him. She nodded slowly.
"So many decisions to make in the next few months, huh?" She says, looking out to the sea.
