Mason is not really a boarding school anymore, but the trip rules remain in the hotels. There are three bunk beds, a bathroom and some drawers. Curfew is 9:30pm, lights out 10:30pm and silence comes at 11. Girls must be in their rooms by 10pm, and boys must not be there after 10, either. Mei shuffles into the hotel room, claiming top bunk on the bed by the window and slipping off her shoes so they made little clatters on the floor as they fell. She was fairly new to the school, and didn't really know any of the girls, so she hoped the trip would gain her some new friends. She wasn't far from home now, and the closeness to China made her heart beat a little faster.
She scrambled around for the internet passcode, finally finding it on one of the dressers, and connected her phone to the wifi, allowing her notifications to rush through. She hadn't checked anything since they departed from Los Angeles, and it was a relief to be back online. Mei pushed back her fringe.

I drag my suitcases into the room, grunting as I do so. I open the door and see a girl, and damn she got the top bunk. I smile at her.
"Hey there. Destiny." I say and push my suitcases to the other bed, getting on the top after piling them on top of each other. I sit on the bed, and switch on my phone.

Mei smiled at Destiny, scrolling through her Instagram feed as she did so. She had some White Rabbits in her hand luggage bag, which she had pulled up onto her bed with her, and opened the pack, unwrapping one. It was her favourite Chinese snack.
"I'm Mei." She says, holding the bag of sweets in her left hand and then holding them out towards her, "Want one?"

"Uhm,no thanks. I'm trying to cut down on sweets before I get fat and it's too late." I Say and lay down. "The others havent arrived yet?"

Mei shrugged, pulling the sweets back towards herself and popping another in her mouth.
"Admiring the streets, maybe? I dunno, I've been to Seoul before." She said with a smile. "I forgot to ask, how old are you?"
