History: Jong-in's family has a long history of Korean and Chinese ancestors. His father is Korean whereas his mother is Chinese- they met in Shanghai when they were both very young and had Jongin by accident, which led them to be married. They moved to Korea a few months after Jongin's birth as they were worried what AiMu's family would think, and hid the child from them for three years. At the age of three, Jongin was moved back to China to meet his mother's side of the family, who were quite accepting of the young child because of his ambition to communicate with them- he then only spoke a toddler's amount of Korean, and each day he tried to pick up new vocabulary. By the time he was comfortably fluent in Mandarin, his father had already made plans to move to Canada after a wonderful business trip there for six whole months. Jongin was sad about this, as he knew that he'd have to learn yet another language, but didn't complain and packed his bags just before his sixth birthday. He settled in quite quickly, as all of the kids in his school were interested in his background and the languages he spoke. He liked Canada a lot, but by the time he was fifteen he'd become quite a handful and his parents had had another child- a little sister called Nini. They sent him off to Mason with enough money to buy an apartment and get himself a job, and set their minds on raising Nini.
