Ready To Go | Skyler, Steven & Orion

Skyler zips up the final backpack of stuff that he would be taking, a yellow and green tie-dye bag which had his name printed on it in a stylish font. He places it behind his door along with the other bags and sneaks out of his room, checking down the staircase for any sounds that the TV was making. He sighs as he hears dialogue from the film Scream and pulls out his phone, texting Steven to tell him that he would have to jump out of the window. His heart was racing as he thought about doing this. They were finally going to leave Mason, and the more that he thought about this the faster his heart went.

Skyler's heart skips a beat at he hears the pebbles hit his window, leaving little dints in the glass. He opens it up, looking down at Steven and giving him a thumbs up before throwing down his three backpacks of clothes and essentials, etc. and a little case of food. He looks over his room and turns out the light before sitting on the windowsill, turning back to bade it goodbye.

"Adios, bedroom." He says, sighing before pushing himself out of the window and landing on the pillow and a bag of clothes. He salutes his Lamborghini as he walks down the driveway with the bags slung over his shoulder, glancing up at the open window of his room before throwing his bags into the open back of Steven's Jeep car and jumping into the passenger's seat.

Skyler nods, smiling to himself. He was almost shaking with anticipation.

"I'm more ready than I've ever been in my life. Let's do this thing." He says, banging his palms on the dashboard.

After just over ten minutes on the road, Skyler typically begins to get hungry, and so unbelts himself and wriggles into the open back, sliding open the case of food and taking out a bag of crisps. He looks at Steven and gestures to the food.

"You want anything?" He asks, knowing this would be a pretty long journey.

Skyler and Steven had been driving for well over an hour, and the freeway was beginning to get busy just as they started to drive through Victorville.

"I feel like we should have told someone that we were going." He sighs, laying his head on the dashboard. "I'm so tired."

"This is why we're friends." Skyler says with a tired smile on his face, before closing his eyes and attempting to fall asleep. Then, a sudden thought comes into his head.

"Stevie, how much money did you bring?" He asks. Money was going to be very important whilst they were there, and they had to spend it wisely... Like, adults.

Skyler nods and closes his eyes again, this time drifting off into a light power nap that would give him just enough energy to drive from Lenwood to Vegas. He hadn't slept since about 5am the previous day.
